2016 Customizable Instagram Calendars (4)

hey everyone! just like last year (and the year before!), i'm so happy to share with you the 2016 version of my customizable instagram calendars! these make really fun 'print and give' gifts, and they're something you can do for free (as long as you have a printer!). you can either print mine (see below) or download the template to make your own. they were inspired by instagram photos, but of course, any photo cropped to a square will work!

*want a fun gift idea? find your recipient on instagram by going to instagram.com/’recipient’s instagram handle’ (like this: instagram.com/goinghometoroost), download 12 photos and make a calendar for them using their very own instagram photos. they’ll be so surprised!

the calendar above is made from some of my very own favorite instagram photos from this past year. we keep ours on the fridge as a reminder of the beauty we saw in the same month one year before. you can either print mine, or use the included template to customize it by inserting your own photos.

to download: click HERE (or on the image above) to download the .zip file. inside you’ll find:

– my printable PDF 2016 calendar.
– a PDF blank template for you to add your own photos to.
– a .PNG template with a transparent background for you to add your own photos to.
– a .EPS file that you can open in photoshop or illustrator to edit.

(i tried to make something for everyone!)

tips for using this template: to use a template, you will need to use some kind of photo software that allows you to layer photos. if you have photoshop or illustrator: open the .eps file and simply drag and drop your photos into place. for all other programs, try using either the .PDF or .PNG template. programs like printshop, pages and picmonkey should allow you to layer you photos on top of the template. after your photos are placed, save the document as a .PDF and print using the instructions below!

instructions: print on heavy cardstock and cut in half (my favorite is epson premium presentation paper). punch a hole at the top of each to hang, or simply stack neatly.

**pro tip! use instaport to quickly download all of your instagram photos from the entire year!

  • Thank you! These are lovely! I have been looking for the perfect desk calendar, and this is it! :)

  • Thank you so much for kindly sharing this download! I am having trouble inserting the photos into the templates…I’m wondering what I might be doing incorrectly. Might you have any thoughts? Thank you again!

    • Hi Nicole, Not sure if you’re using Photoshop or not?? In Photoshop Elements I selected “place” from the “file” tab and that allows you to choose a photo to add as a layer. Then just resize and position your photo where you want it. Hope that helps you! :-)

      • thanks for your help, kelly!

    • hey nicole! i just added some tips to the blog post above to hopefully help. :) merry christmas!

  • Thanks so much for this Bonnie!! I had some trouble trying to figure out how to download from Instagram but eventually got it to work. Also, took other photos and simply cropped them to a square or near to it and it worked great. I also changed the picture square on the template from black to white in case my photos weren’t spot on. This is going to make some great personalized gifts. So thankful to you for sharing! :-)

    • great idea, kelly! so happy you’re enjoying it!
